Want to get on a skibob / ski bike without spending too much money.
Here's how I did it. I bought a
winterXbike kit
with skis and look for an old mountain bike frame to use. How much money
did I want to spend on the frame? Nothing. Well maybe a tenner. That's
exactly what happened!
I stopped overnight at my friend Colin's house for a barbeque. The next
morning he took his dogs for a walk and spotted a Mountain bike frame
propped up by someone's dustbin, just waiting to be collected.
Mad Dog before it got washed

So we collected it. Back at Colin's house, he stripped of all
the bits and pieces no longer required, pressure washed it.
The Frame was called Mad Dog. Didn't have to pay anything for
it, so I can't complain about the name.
Half an hour later, the Xbike kit was ready, just need a bit of snow
now.
I have ridden an xbike kit in the past, and they really are fun. They
turn easily. The bike saddle make your bum hurt after a while.
I will try to modify the sadly arrangement over the summer to fit
something a bit more like a skibob.
So, if you are interested in trying it out. Get yourself a cheap
mountain bike frame and a kit.
The kits start at $129 without skis (That's about £60).
With skis already mounted, they are $299.95
