| Soelden A very friendly resort with fun nightlife. Lots of long runs and very good chair lifts. Not sure if you can hire skibobs in this resort. You can get to Solden from the UK by flying to Munich, then car or train to Solden. |

| Soll |
| Soll and its neighbours, have the largest interconnected skiing area in Austria - 93 lifts and 250km of pistes, of which 130km are covered by snow cannons.
This is definitely a skibob friendly resort. Soll itself is an unpretentious, quiet modern town. All the skiing is below 1892m, and the villages are below 1000m, meaning that the useful season is short, basically Jan & Feb, and snow cover at valley level is uncertain despite the fact that the area opens from Dec to Apr. The SkiWelt is suited for beginners and undemanding intermediates. For beginners the SkiWelt has 108km of easy blue runs. For intermediates there are another 129km of red runs, although easy short runs, rather than substantial long cruising runs. In the whole area there are only 8 black runs.Söll’s skiing starts with a free, 15-minute bus ride across the resort to a modern eight-person gondola. A second gondola takes you swiftly up to Hohe Salve, which at 1,829m is the highest point in the main Skiwelt circuit (although Westendorf has higher skiing). Thanks to a lift capacity of more than 123,000 skiers per hour, SkiWelt queues seldom exceed 20 minutes. Additional snowmaking now covers the run down to the village. High grooming standards are ensured by 45 snowcats. http://www.soell.com Soll Web site http://www.skiwelt.at/ SkiWelt (Ski World web site) From Hohe Salve it is possible to ski to seven of the SkiWelt resorts; Westendorf requires a short bus transfer from Brixen-im-Thale, and Kelchsau a less frequent and longer bus trip from the village of Hopfgarten. Advanced terrain is often limited by a lack of snow. The SkiWelt is primarily suited to beginners and undemanding intermediates who do not mind short runs and uphill traverses. There is no ski bus itinerary connecting the resorts, so care must be taken when skiing far afield. Skibob Hire Alpinsport Edinger (Located below the main gondola lift in Soell. | Graechen (Close to Zermatt) |
| A nice place to skibike. The downside is that you have to contend with using a lot of T-bar and button lifts. See Graechen 2002 world championships in the galleries. |
| Crans-Montana |
| A great place to skibike with loads of long runs. You can go to 10,000 feet and ski for miles. You can also hire Brenter snow bikes in this resort from www.alexsports.ch. Telephone 027 482 4061. The guys in the shop are great and will provide training and advice if required. We were helped by a really nice guy called Vladmir. The shop will also provide hotel advice. |
